I'm with you, John. I guess trends are not always obvious to
everyone.

How quickly we forget. A mere 3 years ago, PCs were almost
always sold with CRT monitors. We started seeing flat screens
in TV shows, and by now, we almost forgot that PCs ever came
with CRT monitors. Just how many CRTs do you see with PCs
when you visit your neighborhood Best Buy or CompUSA?

It was sometime in 2003 that I posted an article which
explained that LCD monitor manufacturers had *saturated*
the PC market. And that as a result, they were now going
to address the TV market in a serious way. Well, what would
lead anyone to believe that this transition should be any
slower? (I mean, other than the fact that TVs are useful
a lot longer than PCs.)

In Japan now, that's pretty much all you see.
