The issue is not “tone deafness,” but the morass of bureaucratic agencies that
micromanage the telephone industry. It all starts on K-Street, which in turn
impacts what happens at the FCC.
Reality check: if the technology exists to block spoofed calls, why is it not
being deployed?
Answer: special interests are making too much money with the status quo, and
the legal system is incapable of bringing the bad actors to justice.
Hopefully things are starting to change.
