I thought I heard somewhere along the line that the Chinese were using turbo
coding in their VSB transmissions, which in theory should bring performance
close to the Shannon limit. If this be so, then their VSB is quite a
different animal from 8VSB.
Does anybody know if coding theorists have been trying turbo or LDPC coding
techniques with COFDM?
