Interactive map shows broadband availability stats throughout the US. 
Interesting. Some rural areas, even close to urban/suburban, are not well 
served at all.

Looks like nationwide, availability of broadband is about 94%. Urban about 98%. 
Rural about 73%. That's overall. You can focus down on individual counties, and 
the rural number can be a lot lower. A big swath of the Midwest seems really 
well served: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa especially, Illinois, Missouri. Who'd a 
thunk? Kudos to them!
