So, I am belaboring here again, Craig. "OTT" refers to TV content web sites
that are available to all, irrespective of ISP. That does not describe what
Verizon is testing out. The article describes an IPTV service, just as walled
up as their current MPEG-2 TS broadcast service. A walled garden MVPD, which
happens to use IP, much like Uverse, but over fiber instead of ADSL.
It would have been more amazing if Verizon were considering morphing into an
OTT service, for content they have the rights to today.
