Hi Mark -
I still don't know much about optics but I have a possibly dumb question
about your linked "The Hole Thing" article and the distortion caused by
diffraction. Some times mathematically predictable image distortions
can be reversed by some complex video processing. Is this true for
diffraction? Or does the attempt mostly just cause ringing like many
sharpening or edge enhancement algorithms?
