[opendtv] New TV - Wow

Hello List:
New TV for my household arrived today. 47" LED backlit LCD TV, 1080p60
capable, 120Hz.
In a word, astonishing - I've never see video this good. The LED brightness
and 120Hz make the picture leap off the screen. I'll check out a 60p image
via BlueRay later this weekend.
One strange side effect - several shows are so much crisper and the 120Hz
refresh makes some "film" material appear to be so crisp that it looks like
"TV". Makes me think that the footage may have been shot in digital 24p,
not film. Some shows still look like film.
Counting down days to the analog shut down. ATSC is still hard to receive
in my house in DC, impossible to receive in my Herndon house. Even with
latest generation receivers, picture breakups are just too hard to deal
with - I've given up, just use DirecTV for everything.
