Well, what percentage of U.S. tv stations were broadcasting in DTV in November 2007? What percentage of U.S. tv stations are broadcasting in DTV now? (It's not 100%, and many will not be able to use their authorized facilities in full until after the sunset of analog?) What percentage of TVHH in areas of Germany where there is no analog get their TV over the air? How about Sweden? Italy? You're quite foolish to even think that the percentage in the US will go down after analog shut down. Is someone just going to go around putting people with analog sets out of our misery as a public service? (it's not murder, it's 'social subtraction.') Or, will they just stop watching TV? Most of the people with DTV reception capability also subscribe to cable and satellite. They're still 'early adopters.' John Willkie, who wonders what percentage of TV hh won't even know about the end of analog until after analog FSTV broadcasting ceases. P.S. I can say that the death of analog has become a minor point of discussion in my mother's neighborhood. They are being alarmed, even though they are all cable subscribers. -----Mensaje original----- De: opendtv-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:opendtv-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] En nombre de Bob Miller Enviado el: Monday, November 12, 2007 12:30 PM Para: opendtv Asunto: [opendtv] One Percent of US households One Percent of US households receive HD via OTA DTV after ten years of trying. http://www.advanced-television.com/2007/nov12_nov16.htm#t5 What percentage of that ONE % have cable and satellite also? What % have OTA as a backup and use it little or not at all? I expect that to go lower after analog shutdown.
