Comcast is 'a much greater threat' than AT&T-Time Warner, the American
Cable Association claims.

The most telling and most significant aspect of this article is what it
suggests about Trump's actual feelings toward net neutrality. No, it's not
exactly a net neutrality issue, but very closely related. I've always suspected
that Trump is confused on the matter, linking net neutrality to the "fairness
doctrine," and this supports my suspicion. (Not that the crook in charge at the
FCC would ever attempt to explain this, of course. The crook clearly benefits
from Trump's confusion.)
"President Trump on Monday publicly amplified ACA's concerns, citing the
group's message on Twitter.
"American Cable Association has big problems with Comcast. They say that
Comcast routinely violates Antitrust Laws. 'These guys are acting much worse,
and have much more potential for damage to consumers, than anything AT&T-Time
Warner would do.' Charlie Gasparino"
Does that tweet sound like Trump thinks it's fine and dandy, if ISPs block
whatever they please?
Even if net neutrality were enforced, no one can force a content owner to do
business with any distribution network. This works just fine, as long as the
owner is not associated with any distribution network. Presumably, these guys
would want to sell their product on as many networks as possible. But it's not
good when the owner of a network also owns the content. For example, in
neighborhoods served by two ISPs, it's obvious how funny business would result.
Neutrality only solves the problem when neither network owns the content, and
when both networks are guaranteed to be content-neutral.
