Hi Larry: Use Audition by Adobe, formerly Cool Edit Pro to capture the audio. With this program, you can clean-up pops, hisses or clicks in the audio. It also allows you to balance the audio the way you would like it. Audition does have a write to CD feature, but I would use Nero 6 or higher. I don't know what audio card you have, but I like the Creative Labs Audigy card. I have found that the built-in audio on motherboards lacks the quality I like for good cassette and LP transfers to CD. Merry Christmas. Ralph Ralph P. I have cassettes of all the shows I had anything to do with and would like to make CDs out of them. A lot of the material on the show was quite entertaining and interesting. I have a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 with 1 Gig of RAM. I have a very good sound card, but don't have a clue what software to use to get the audio from the cassette recorded to my hard drive so I can convert it into a CD that can play in my car on or any CD player. I'm looking for good, but not too expensive, software. Any suggestions? +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Larry Bloomfield, KA6UTC Bloomfield Enterprises, dba Tech-Notes 1980 25th St. Florence, OR 97439-9717 (541) 902-2424 www.Tech-Notes.TV See you on the Road Show - A Taste of NAB 2005 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
