A little sad, IMO, when you feel obliged to trumpet the one non-controversial,
can't-possibly-go-wrong-by-playing-the-safety-card proposal, in the face of so
much overt hostility to your other ideas? Contrast this with what happened with
Tom Wheeler's FCC, when he revised his initial opposition to Title II, after
the courts weighed in and explained that reclassification was the only way to
mandate neutrality of telecoms.
Hypocrisy is rampant. When Tom Wheeler initially resisted Title II, the whack
jobs on the extreme right said he was in the pockets of the special interests.
Now that the Chairman really is in the pockets of the special interests, those
same paranoid lunatics seem unable to figure it out. And worse, they drag the
entire Republican Party lemmings with them.
Sad state of affairs. Which will be duly rewarded in November.
