Tom, actually I was much more interested in the idea that broadcasters might be 
creating a freeview service here in the US, than in the M/H aspects of the 
idea. Because that's how you get advertizers interested, methinks.

Dunno about the royalty problem. You can buy $99 TVs at Target these days, and 
they're LCDs, not CRTs. A similar or even lower price than similarly small NTSC 
CRT sets of the past. I think the royalty "problem" is not as bad as most 
people think. Or at least, the ATSC component of it seems to be at the noise 
level.
