Transitions don't always wait until the last moment. It didn't happen in the UK or any other country I know of. Only the US where broadcasters have a basic conflict of interest with their own OTA spectrum and cable carriage. And decent receivers have not shown up yet. When they do they will be capable of mobile reception and will be using something other than 8-VSB. Actually you might say decent receivers have shown up in cell phones capable of receiving Mediaflo.
