Ah, the famous killer app. for iTV: in a live football match just blot-out
the ball, only those willing to pay extra will see the ball flying across
the screen. This is one of those famous stories, which origin will be next
to impossible to establish, trace.

I know nothing about the actual implementations, if any.

But it would seem ideal for both censorship and dynamic ad placement.  I
suppose you could even do both at once, showing a Maiden Form bra over
Janet Jackson's chest at the next Super Bowl.
