Funny how Mr. Brodkin gets upset about the fees that are added to MVPD bills
that are on top of advertised rates for these bundles.
I’ve railed against this practice for years. Retrans consent is a major
offender, but there are layers of local state and Federal taxes as well. And
this is true for facilities based telephone services as well.
Maybe Mr. Brodkin can investigate the addition of “communications taxes” to my
Apple Music subscription. What’s next?
Communications taxes on Netflix, HBO, Disney, Hulu et all?
Communications taxes on orders from Amazon and other online retailers?
I guess that the politicians are feeling their “muscle” now and are willing to
ignore laws and the Constitution under the cloud of Covid...

- By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word
