Harry - I am thinking I will go to Costco Friday and get a tray of those

For most of us, take I-5 over the Grapevine,
then a few miles farther take I-99 Golden State Fwy all the way to
Bakersfield.
Off at 124th St, take the 178 branch to the right (now 123rd St)
Right on Eye St.
At 20th St, there will be Patriot's parking lot on your left, park there.
Transport your trains to alley between 20th and 19th St, turn left.
About 50 yards on your right will be a red bell to call the elevator.
That's how we enter the facility, 3rd floor.

The clubhouse is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the old J.J. Newberry
building where the Chef’s Choice restaurant ( 1st floor ) is located on the
corner of 19th and Eye St.
The club entrance is located approximately 150' East, off of Eye St. on
South side of the Service Street Alley... which is midway between 19th &
20th Streets.

Travel time from my shop is about 2.5 hours.
Forecast predicts 81F. No AC in layout room.
Layout is massive in shape of letter "E."
Large setup yards at top and bottom of the "E."
Forty+ car trains will fit. Max length identified on each siding.
Ruling grade is found departing the top yard.
It is 2% around a circle eight and longer than your train,
so bring sufficient motive power.
Coming back, grade is less.
Passing sidings are all longer than your train
and with this many operators, we'll likely need them.
Time to run from top to bottom is about 30 minutes.
Round trip about an hour.
GEHAMS has many sidings for your switching pleasure,
your cars or theirs, hundreds sprinkled on the layout.
Command system is Digitrax and some of us will
bring those throttles. Milt will have a few we can borrow.
They get hungry too, so please bring some treats.
Dues are $40 per month and they could use more members
if you don't mind the drive.
They have a donations box, please contribute.
