Yes some suppliers are real good and other take weeks and then only send you a
part order and tell you items are on back order or they just cancel your order.
Not fun.

to cut the ends I need to splice together 3 sheets of siding. I only had two
sheets, when I ordered I found out Northeastern has siding in 6 inch widths,
which means that I can cut the sides out of one 6 inch width and the ends I
only have to splice a 6 inch and 3.5 inch width piece to cut the ends. That
I save a lot of time and cussing trying to glue together the sheets to cut.
Most of my parts come from Tichy Train Group, their shipping is only $4 and
they will ship same day if I order in the morning. I also sometimes order
from Grandt Line, or as it is now San Juan. They are a bit slower in
shipping, but not bad. Not happy with Testers paint now they have dropped
the Model Master line, I really liked their boxcar red flat paint. I just
got 2 bottles of it so it should last for a couple of projects. New project
coming up is the Carson City V&T depot, someone on Ebay had set of plans and
the window and door castings along with the eave supports. Don’t know where
I will put it as it is a bit large.

Dave looks good and yes that is a problem starting a project and then sitting
around hoping your order of supplies will arrive. I ordered a bunch of stuff
from Walthers and most of it is on back order. So I have a bunch of half
completed structures just sitting there.
