I just realized that we'll need a text replacement for the map like the
following excellent example from Shadow on the Sand.
"The Empire of Vassagonia is a vast desert realm. The northern coast
runs roughly east for several hundred miles before it turns in a
lazy, rugged arc to the south. Roughly at the apex of this arc is
the city of Barrakeesh, the capital city of Vassagonia. The six
other cities of this vast arid country are mainly to be found in the
thin coastal strip, such as Ferufezan in the northwest, and Bisutan
in the south. Barrakeesh is cut off from most of the rest of
Vassagonia by the semicircle of the Kabar Range. These mountains
meet the sea on the eastern coast at Cape Kabar, which overlooks a
trio of islands. For all its magnificent coastline, Vassagonia lacks
fresh water, with only six major oases in the entire realm, half of
which line the trail to the south of the Dahir Mountains between
Ikaresh and Bir Rabalou."
