I know I said 'Wednesday', but now that exams are out of my way... and

this email done. I'm posting it here for feedback first; hopefully it'll
all be shiny and I'll get it out the proverbial door tomorrow.
Looks good, Tim. Nice work! (And it's always good that there's another contact
letter I won't have to write/reply to!)
(Of the suggested questions to raise, I decided to stick to the game
itself this time, and if all goes well -- maybe even if it doesn't -- we
can ask if he knows anything about Audiogenic's game, and if he'd like
to get in touch with Martijn from World of Spectrum.)
Fair enough; makes sense not to overwhelm anyone with everything in one go. I've
tried that with the miniatures company I contacted regarding their LW range from
the mid 90s; I have yet to hear from them about my second mail in which I
basically asked the Earth from them. >_<
On the plus side, Mongoose were helpful, and even said they'd look to see
whether they had access to any of the missing LWC Newsletter pages. Great!
Now I just need to come up with a subject line, I'm bad at that...
I find something snappy but slightly personalised might help. Try to avoid
mentioning Xanax or Viagra in the subject line. Something like: "Information on
Old Software"--since he's a coder, that will make it stand out from a random
spam mail.
I might also suggest adding to the top of the E-mail three lines that say:
From: <you>
To: Jon Hare
Subject: Requesting information regarding an older software title you worked on
<or something similar>
That way, if he's a bit busy, he can immediately know not to read further right
away. It also makes the mail explicitly addressed to him /and/ mentions that
it's something he should know about rather than being a random circular begging
for money or whatnot.
