Thanks for your suggestion. I noticed that we hadn't responded to you
directly, but your suggestion provided the impetus to add a link from
puzzle sections to the list of numbered sections. You can see an
example in our latest published book:

The reason that we didn't directly take your suggestions is that we
have several formats that we publish (or will publish) the books in
and we needed something that would work for all of them. For example,
option 1) would only work for our standard online books.
