If we fix the footnote in 181 to read "If you have _not_ turned to
this section from Section 205..." then this should clear things up.
So, just to make sure, we should alter 01fftd 205 (footnote) to read:

idref="sect205">Section 205</a>, you do not lose all of your equipment. Do
<em>not</em> adjust your <a idref="action">Action Chart</a>.</p>
<p>If you have arrived at this section through <a
idref="sect22">Section 22</a> where you surrender to bandits, you lose all
of your equipment. According to the <cite>Summer Special 1985</cite> issue
of the <cite>Lone Wolf Club Newsletter</cite>, <quote>the bandits took
everything you had, including your Helmet and crowns.</quote></p>
Is that correct? Do we need to make reference to Section 22 at all if we
make this change to the opening sentence?
That sounds rather convoluted when I read it (even though I suggested
the most confusing part). Perhaps this would be a better replacement
for the second paragraph of the current footnote?
"If you have turned to this section from Section 22, you may ignore
this statement. You have not lost any of your equipment. Do not adjust
your Action Chart."
The only place you lose equipment is in _205_ where you surrender.
