Jon, I've updated FWAC following your reports. > * The labels along the top for "Book" and "Page Ref" don't seem > properly aligned with their controls. It seems that the alignment data wasn't updated for some reason, I've fixed that and it should look correct now. > * The fieldset or whatever java calls it under the Notes tab is > labeled "Survival Skills" Fixed, was a simple copy and paste error. > * If I select a blank action chart, go forward one wizard step and > then move back to the previous step, the rightmost button is labeled > "Start Game" but when clicked takes me to the second step before > actually starting the game (slightly confusing). The problem was due to the variable number of steps depending upon what options were selected. I added code to revert the button text to "next" whenever the displayed step is not a conformation page and this appears to work. I've also corrected a problem with the standalone load-save routines. For reasons I'll not go into, the page number was not being saved properly so couldn't be reloaded. It now works, but old save files may now not load. I also added "Combat Knife (2)" to the inventory of the generated character, the alignment of the text labels on the weapons tab have also been updated (some of the text wasn't centred properly). My work on the XML files (and subsequent re-reading of the books) has been useful. I now know that some more advanced combat options will be required. Namely: 1) Toggle for applying Close Weapon bonus to combat score (in some combats you're unable to draw your weapon for 'n' rounds). 2) Additional CCS modifier (sometimes you need to add/subtract points to CCS due to initiative). 3) Toggle for damage (sometimes you need to execute combat rounds with one party not receiving damage). I also toyed with methods of implementing automated control over these fields when fed from the produced HTML. For instance it it theoretically possible to set the combat class to supply details such as "don't apply CCS bonus for 2 rounds, enemy loses no EP for first round". I suppose that sort of thing should really be kept long-term though. While it may be theoretically possible, implementing such things would probably adversely affect the initial publication of the books. __________________________________ Start your day with Yahoo! - Make it your home page! http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs
