No, I just used bog-standard Arial. I did try a couple of other fonts when I was experimenting, but a combination of illegibility and/or looking very unlike the original font prompted me to opt for it.
To be honest, I think the font I've used actually looks better and is easier to read than the one used in the maps originally.
