Subject: Making an RPG game version of the Lone Wolf books.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My name is Patrick Mason. I am an indie game developer, and I would
like to offer the chance to make n amazing game made from the books of
the Lone wolf book series.
Now when I say that I want to make an RPG game of the books, I don't
mean like a parody - I want to make a playable RPG Game version of the
books. They would have the same title, and wouldn't veer from the
storyline in any way - the only change would be it wouldn't be in book form.
I would distribute the games freely, on the Desura Games Platform,
and  DRM-Free.
I have always enjoyed the these books. From the first one to the last.
They are wonderful, and I would be honored to breathe new life into them.
All I would need is your permission to get started on this project.
Please feel free to contact me - I am more than welcome to answer
anyof your questions. Thank you for your time.
Hi Patrick
Thank you for your interest in Project Aon. It is always good to hear from fellow Lone Wolf fans around the world.
Respecting making CRPG versions of the gamebooks, we can't give you permission to do this. This isn't because we're being unhelpful--we simply do not legally have the right to give permission. The contract/license we have with Joe Dever and the other artists/authors is that all materials are freely available via the Project Aon site and are not hosted on third-party sites (e.g. Desura) and are therefore not subject to any monetisation through advertising.
That said, I would personally love to play through visual games based on these gamebooks, which I've been a fan of for more than 25 years! If you would like, I could ask that the Project Coordinator pass on your request to Joe Dever and he could consider it. Bear in mind that there is currently an Android game based on Lone Wolf, though this is not available for the PC, nor does it stick to the gamebooks as I understand it, so your pitch may be sufficiently different that Joe would be interested.
Sorry we can't be more helpful; we are all fans of the books and would love to see legal adaptations of them available.
For Sommerlund and the Kai!
