Simon, are you working on PDF generation based on the XML files? If so, we
might want to coordinate ourselves as I'm doing that too...

No, I'm not, unfortunately. I know nothing about XML. :-\

I'm literally adding the text/images to a Word document and then outputting that to PDF, the same as with all the other PDF files I maintain (i.e. LW_misc, The Magnamund Companion).

It's an interesting idea, adding the files to a XML file, but I'm not sure whether it would be possible. The way the books are structured requires for overlaying the images with large amounts of numeric text, most of which would need to form numerous hyperlinks. What tiny amounts of knowledge I have of the current state of the Project Aon XML/DTD is that overlaying text onto images is not possible right now.

That said, if you would like me to send you copies of the current DOC file and/or the images in question, I would be happy to do so! Word is having a nightmare of a time outputting all the hyperlinks properly to PDF, so the XML -> PDF conversion may be a superior way. Let me know what you think.

I'm currently working on re-laying out Black Baron, which will require a lot more work from me. If you would like to look over the DOC file with a view to XMLising it, I wouldn't need to hyperlink all the numbers, which would be much easier and faster for me. I am awaiting scans of the images from White Warlord. Emerald Enchanter and Scarlet Sorcerer are both complete, and I could send the DOCs/image scans for those as well, if you would like to look them over.

I'd certainly be happy to lose some of this work. ;-)
