Subject: Regain Endurance Points
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi,
I just started reading the Grey Star books, and I love them, but I am kinda
getting discouraged.
It seems I keep losing Endurance Points but rarely have an opportunity to
regain them... it seems
like its really difficult to survive through the book... am I missing something?
Thanks
Hi Amanda
We're glad you're enjoying Project Aon. It's always encouraging to hear from
fellow fans.
The first book--Grey Star the Wizard--is, I'm afraid, quite notorious for being unforgiving, so you're not necessarily missing anything. If it's any consolation, the subsequent books are much less demanding. Also, it'e worth bearing in mind that sometimes the "right" choice may not be the best.
We are creating flowchart diagrams of the books which may or may not help readers. The following flowchart of "Grey Star the Wizard" should work in Mozilla Firefox and may be of help to you: <http://www.projectaon.org/test/en/svg/gs/01gstw.svgz> It notes where all combats are in the book, which you can then try to avoid, for example, and also the most direct route through the mists of Lake Shenwu. All of the section numbers are links to the book text, so you can use it to explore certain options.
Aside from that, all I can say is: keep attempting the book as you will make it through eventually, and then enjoy the relative ease--and storyline, of course!--of the remaining three adventures in that series.
For Grey Star and the Shianti!
