Sorry that this took this long for such a short answer. I've just created the beginnings of a How-To about how to work with XML. Importantly, it has instructions about how to gain access to CVS: http://www.projectaon.org/en/Sanctum/Howto-xml
Great! Thanks, I supposed it was Freepository because it was mentioned in the mailing list in the past but I wasn't sure.
Note that there is a xml-es module in our Freepository which needs some tender care.
I can take care of that and include the udpated .inc files I sent you through (private e-mail) as well as deposit some general scripts to automate XML handling (encoding issues I described in a different e-mail). A few question that are not answered there. - How is publishing done? Is it done manually or triggered by changes of the CVS. If done manually, who does somebody have to contact when a fix is introduced in the XML files. - Does the CVS contain the images (gif or jpeg) of the books? If not, where are the canonical copies stored? (for PDF generation I've been using the files in the "downloadable" copy of the books and convert them to PDF for inclusion in LaTeX) I believe automatic PDF generation of published books can now be easily accomplished with the changes in the LaTeX XSL file as well as the Makefiles I have crafted. As long as there is a system that handles this automatically and deposits the files somewhere or pushes them to the website. That would strike out one of the wishlists at http://www.projectaon.org/en/Sanctum/WishList Regards Javier ~~~~~~ Manage your subscription at http://www.freelists.org/list/projectaon
