wasn't that something scriptable? Or was it a little more hands-on?
I also remember the PDF's being a nice option. While I'm sure
generating PDF's of the individual pages is little problem, I assume
the difficulty comes in getting all the pages of one book into a
single document, with all links working properly (internal and
external).
I know that ghostscript can be run to combine multiple documents into
a single file output, I personally don't know how to work that (tried
and failed), mainly because I haven't managed to figure out the
non-GUI form of the program.
