Is the power spike a weapon? The text contains "Your senses tell you that it is
the Power Spike--he has recognized that you possess one of the few weapons
capable of destroying him.", so I assume it is?
If so, what type of weapon (for weaponskill bonus) and if not, can you fight
him with any weapon?
Also, if you get lucky in section 230 and kill Tagazin with a single blow, you
never get the chance to get the power spike and if you don't have the
Sommerswerd, that means you die in the section 296 -> section 90 branch. This
seems a little harsh for getting a 1-shot kill.
