Hi Julie,
I am one of the 3 people who met at the cull-de-sack last week, physically
looking at the above mentioned property. Since Dean is saying below, “Some
thought the driveway request was OK, but I have NOT received any formal
approvals from the ARB committee members.“
1) I am in total agreement that the fence should start BEHIND the garage
door and NOT in front of it.
2) I am okay with the driveway request and wanted to sign that particular
ARB req but Dean wanted to consult with other ARB members!
The issue of vehicles running their engines and causing a disturbance is a
separate violation under the nuisance clause and is NOT part of these two ARB
reqs! The final verdict will have to come by way of the 2 ARB reqs being
signed, approved or rejected by ARB members, forwarded to you by Dean Hinson.

Hello Julie,
Die to COVID and a language barrier (as I am told), some of the board net at
the home to review the fence and driveway requests. Some though the driveway
request was OK, but I have NOT received any formal approvals from the ARB
committee members.
The fence request has to change. The fence must start behind the garage door
instead of in front of it.
Also, it is sad that the realtor did not inform the homeowner that the
neighborhood had a HOA and CnRs are enforced.
This is awkward since the CnRs stated that a business cannot be executed from
the residence. This is not for me to say, I think the board must discuss and
come to a decision.

Importance: High
Morning,
I’ve now talked to the homeowner at 5421 Vernon. His name is Dennis..
843.879.1868 He wants to get everything straightened out & get approval for
his fence.
Can you give him a call or set something up to go by his home to meet with him
ASAP? He wants to be in compliance, but explained to me that he purchased this
home & was
never made aware that he was going to be living in an HOA ☹ He does own a
business… He installs pools…
Let me know if there is anything that I need to pass on to him? Can you either
call or go meet with him to go over the request? Just let me know..
Thank you 😊
Julie

Hello to all those on the ROHA ARB,
Here are two request regarding a fence and driveway expansion, see attachments.
The fence maybe be OK. I need to check what the ‘building setback line’ is for
Dorchester Country to confirm compliance with code. As for the driveway
expansion, there has been complaints regarding trucks etc. congregating in the
morning and evening at this residence. After communicating my concern, I
received this reply from a real-estate agent who is helping due to language
barrier….
“I am aware they were parking their commercial vehicles as well. But they state
after the complaints they have not park them at the house. But they do own more
than 2 trucks that they use in a daily basis, and want to extend their driveway
to make sure they can park and have space in case someone else visits during
the day since they cannot park in the street. That is the main purpose of the
request for the extension.“
So, what do you think? What should be approved and what shouldn’t be. Please
let me know.
Regards, Dean.
