Only extraordinary circumstances can keep TQ and its travelers from
standing in the Moon’s shadow on eclipse day. It has been a year like
none other, but rest assured, the dream factory is humming along, and we
are busy planning your next adventure.
In the meantime, we thought some of you would still like to _Share in
the Wonder_ by live-streaming the December 14, 2020 total solar eclipse
from home.
Travel restrictions due to Covid-19 have prevented most organizations
from getting into the path of totality. However, we have found two
possibilities for live video of the eclipse.
WHERE TO WATCH
While TravelQuest does not have any control over the quality of these
programs, as of a week prior to the eclipse, the website TimeandDate.com
[3] is still planning to stream the eclipse, starting just before first
contact.

NASA TV [5] is planning two eclipse programs. An hour-long Spanish show
on the eclipse begins at 10:30 am EST on the NASA TV Public channel [6].
On the Media channel (click the button below) is a livestream of the
eclipse, from the Observatorio Docente UC, Santa Martina, from 9:40 am
to 12:31 pm EST.

Remember: seeing the eclipse is weather dependent.
Note:
* First contact on December 14 is at 14:41 UT. (9:41 am ET/8:41 am
CT/7:41 am MT/6:41 am PT/5:41 am Alaska/4:41 am Hawaii)
* Totality strikes about 80 minutes later.
* Note that the eclipse starts in the afternoon for Europe and Africa,
the evening in western Asia, and after midnight (on Dec. 15th) for
eastern Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
