Det mycket välkända skiftet, som är fundamentalt i förståelsen av USAs
politiska 1900-talshistoria, är inte något "eventuellt".
Vi kan nog komma överens om att skiftet där vänstern och högern bytte plattform
i USA, var en långdragen process som började på 1920-talet och avslutades
definitivt på 60-talet, med Roosevelt som en viktig aktör:

Truman introduced a pro-civil rights platform and, in response, many Democrats
walked out and formed the Dixiecrats. Most rejoined the Democrats over the next

Men värt at notera är att Berghorn har för enögd syn på politiska skalor.
I USA är personvalet viktigare, så man kan t ex få en väldigt konservativ
kandidat i ett liberalt parti, beroende på dennes personliga egenskaper.
Jag ser att du läste på en smula under eftermiddagen. Och nu anklagar mig för
den enögdhet som du själv demonstrerade tidigare. Det du skriver här är just
det jag själv skrev.
