Something I've always been perplexed by is the way coordinators basically
audition for HC jobs. Good that you have ambition, but as an owner, I want
someone who's going to stick around and stockpile some rings. Aside from Dick
LeBeau, I can't immediately think of anyone who fits that description. (Or Dom
Capers, and even they both went through their rotations as HCs.)

I’ve no idea - I did hear a story a year or two back that he didn’t interview
well, which is why he didn’t get a couple of jobs he had interviewed for, but
