One more story about Tunch the guy. The date was December 2, 2001. The
Steelers were playing the Vikings at Heinz. A friend of ours who worked
for Fox got my wife and me press passes to Heinz, and we actually had a
press box all to ourselves. Our box was right next to the Steelers
radio crew. So there we were, before the game, decked out in Steelers
gear, when Tunch noticed us and motioned to one of the techs there in
the box. That guy came over to our box and wired the speaker behind us
so we could listen to the Steelers radio crew during the game. It made
the once-in-a-lifetime experience that much richer for us, and I'll
never forget the time a celeb like Tunch took a moment out of his busy
broadcast day to think of the fans.
