The TE’s were in a group after Pitts, you could have had Hunter Long or Brevin
Jordan or Tommy Tremble later than this for similar production at a lesser
price. To take a TE, when there are two starting calibre centers and a starting
calibre left tackle in Mayfield on the board is a decision they will regret for
a long time. Maybe Meinerz does slip, but when you are looking at not just
starting tackles but swing tackles for depth, the dropoff is significant
between rounds two and three.
