Until the last few years, Tomlin had among the best records in football in
December & January. That started going south the year that AB had his
season-ending meltdown, followed by the year of the Duck, followed by last
year’s collapse. So this is only a recent trend, and I don’t blame him for the
Ben-less year a couple of years ago.

What I'm looking forward to is Tomlin figuring out how to finish a season on
the upswing instead of his patented late season collapse. Let's be honest, the
Steelers might not have really been the best team last year but they had the #1
seed in their grasp on Thanksgiving.

I wouldn’t go that far, but I am happy with the signing. What I’m really
looking forward to is to see how he adapts to the post-Ben era.

Seriously think he's the best coach in the league, and completely
underappreciated (as with most Steelers coaches over the last half century).
