Derbile,

I would like to join in with congratulations on your success in having the
book published. If you have the book in text form - i.e. as a Word document
or a .PDF document. Bert brown has a magnificent Irish accented voice that
he uses to create an mp3 copy of the book. The process takes a short time
and it is very difficult to be sure that it is not a real voice speaking!
Why not give Bert a chapter and see what it sounds like?

All the best,

Cearbhall

Subject: [vicsireland] Accessible Novel

Hi

Just wanted to give you all some good news. I'm having a novel published
next month, based on the infamous ski trip I go on. It's called The Pink
Cage. It'll be published in both ebook and print format, which means it
hsould be accesisble straight away to peole who use iPhones. I've strongly
suggested an audiobook to the publisher. They have a system where they put
the obok otu to various audiobook publishers and they decide whether to
publish it, but I'm lobbying hard to make sure the audiobook happens.

Can you suggest any people I could talk to, say in the Braille or NCBI
library, who could help make the book accessible to VIs as quickly as
possible?

Thanks,

Derbhile
