Hi all. Avast is telling me that I've got a whole bunch of suspicious files, probably malware, in my system, 48 in all. Most of them appear to be rootkits. When I choose either the options delete, ignore or send to aol for examination, I end up with a boot system scan. Following this, on each occasion, I've run an Avast scan once again and the same suspicious message comes up with the same malware list. I presume that I should select all the files before choosing the delete option. Do you think this is a safe thing to do or should I be careful which items on the list I choose to delete? My hunch is that I'm being over careful here but I don't want to accidentally make things worse. Paul -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter.
