Hi Tim,
I know the type of gloves you're talking about alright, as another member of
family used wear them to work in early morning factory days, accompanied by
guide dog.
As far as I recall, these fingerless gloves were either knitted by a kindly
soul, or spares from that family, who happened to be fisherfolk.
And on your behalf, I have just carried out a search of various drawers
where there are various pairs of gloves on the premises wherefrom I now
type. Not expecting to find them and that's how it turned out.
Alison mentioned a place in Cork city, but this wouldn't be of much help to
you, though now that you've brought the matter back into focus, let's see
what we can do.
