Braille Notethanks Darragh!
it was something that just sprang to mind.
I love the course and the DSS and course lecturers are absolutely fantastic
and I thought if there was anything that I could do to help I would.

thanks for your response containing your excellent technical knowledge.

It will handle Braille music in terms of the Braille output of it however
the speech will make absolutely no sense.

If there is not much difference between the pac mate and the Braille note,
I would strongly encourage the Pac Mate. It is more mature, has the option
of installing third party applications and the QX version uses the majority
of the key strokes Jaws does. With the QX, although it is a qwerty
keyboard, i.e, not a Braille keyboard, still allows you to input using
Braille keys therefore in theery would allow you to input music notation
using Braille notation.

From looking at the BN, I haven’t found any advantages aside from it’s
slightly smaller size when compared to the PM.

  Thanks Ciaran and Flor,

Thanks for the link Ciaran. will research over the weekend as I am using
dial up connection here.

Flor what would I like to know?

I am not sure really. I am thrashing ideas out. there are bits in my
course that require each student to write things down. due to issues because
my course is only certificate this year, HEA won't fund so and the quickest
way around this for me, is if I purchase some technology myself .

So once the device can handle Braille music which I'd imagine it can as it
is a Braille display then I would be fine.

  Best,

  Sab
