Call for comments on two documents about accessibility of digital TV set

Deadline: 16 April 2009

Dear members,

As part of the e-inclusion partnership process, which is held under the
auspices of the European Commission, EDF, supported by ONCE and RNIB,
discusses with Digital Europe (ex-EICTA), the voice of digital industry in
Europe, how to develop and enhance accessibility of digital TV sets. The
European Broadcasting Union, gathering national broadcasters, and ACT, the
Association of commercial television in Europe, also take part to the
meetings.

Recently, Digital Europe provided us with two documents: one about ?TV -
Text to speech interface? and the second one on ?the Provision of
Supplementary Audio Streams in Broadcast Networks?. Both of them are
attached with this email. Could you please send me your opinion and comments
on these two documents by 16 April 2009?

You can also find the two documents on the members? only website under the
ICT email network section.

Should you have any further information, please do not hesitate to contact
me.

Best regards,

Nadège
