Hi All,
I have a question about being able to get information about files in File
Explorer on Windows 10.
On my old Windows 7 machine, I could arrow right from the file name and it
would tell me the date the file was last edited. Another arrow right told me
the file type, word, excel, text document or indeed file folder.
On Windows 10, as far as I can tell, I have detailed view selected, and have
tried others, but can't get this information. Is there a way to get this
information in Windows 10?
If I use Narrator, it reads the file name followed by that information, but all
in one string of speech, as opposed to arrowing to it. But Jaws and NVDA don't
give me the info at all.
Also, NVDA says "check box checked", Narrator says "selected", but Jaws does
not give this. Is there a way to toggle the check boxes on and off, and if they
are on, why is Jaws not reading them.
I have Jaws 2019 and up to date NVDA.
Many thanks,
Dave
