Hi Maureen,
When you mean announcement of page numbers, do you mean that as you arrow
down a document, when you cross a page break Jaws would say 'page x'
where x is the page number?
If so, check the following.
1. from within word hit insert + v to bring up the verbosity dialogue.
2. arrow down till you reach the line which reads something like
Page breaks, tab position and multiple columns
If it is off, press the space bar to turn it on.
3. hit the enter key to return to word.
