Hi Ronan,
I'd be interested in reading Irish in braille, but their are two factors
which are probably prohibitive.
1. I'm waiting until there is affordable technology that would allow me to
read braille (with fingers), digitally (excuse the pun). Paper books,
especially braille ones, are bulky and are problematic in distribution or
return (in the case of libraries). I don't think I'd have the space for my
own collectio/library in braille.
2. I suppose that what people learn young will be their favoured method,
and no surprise that I have a fondness for the Irish braille I learnt. I
understand thatI hope this isn't the case.
The one I'm familiar with has contractions 'and' for á, 'for' = é, 'of' =
í, 'the' = ó, and 'with' = ú. It's really logical or symetrical, just
adding a dot six to 'p', 'q', 'r', 's' and 't' respectively.
