Paul,
Yes, sorry about that, I noticed my mistake after I sent the message. I hope
Flor does not mind!!
Another point to be aware of is that many of these tutorial videos are
funded by ads. So, if I find an ad starting, I look for "Skip" which will
find "Skip add" and this kills all advertisements and lets me get at the
actual video which I want.
All the best,
Cearbhall

Hi Cearbhall.
Not Flor but Paul in Cork here.
Yes, it is a tutorial with lists of lessons and links and aI am beginning to
get the knack of it. As I said, I had not really used youtube much before
and I just want to find the most efficient way of getting around the
program, moving back and forwards between the lessons.
I will try your suggestion and take a look at the recommendations from
Albert and Tony.
Obviously, nobody seems to be using the scripts I mentioned then.
Thanks very much
Paul

Flor,
What problem are you having with YouTube?
I occasionally look at video tutorials which run on YouTube and I find it
best to place NVDA at the top of the screen and use NVDA+control+f to open
the NVDA find command to find the "play" button and take the result that has
the single word "play." When I click on this, the video starts. Is that
what you are referring to?
All the best,
Cearbhall

Subject: [vicsireland] JAWS scripts for YOUTUBE
Hi all.
I Have to admit that I didn't use Youtube very much on my desktop until
recently when I got involved in doing a course. I haven't found it
particularly user-friendly and sometimes apparently illogical when tabbing
around, although it gets easier after practice.
Anyway, I notice that Doug Lee, the man who developed JAWS scripts for
Skype, also has scripts for Youtube, organized in a similar fashion. When I
tried to download them yesterday, I got a warning that continuing the
download might damage my system.
So, although I think that the download is probably safe, I thought I would
ask if anyone else is using them and, if so, how useful are they? I haven't
tried Youtube with NVDA fbut I presume that the problem would be the same.
Thanks in advance for any help
Paul
