Hi Ed,

There is no harm in running the activation process again.

The worst case is that it will say you have no activation keys left, and you
will be back where you started.

If this is the case, contact Freedom Scientific (either directly or through
the dealer you bought jaws from), and they will provide you with additional
authorisation keys.

This assumes of course, you own this copy of Jaws?

Tim

Hi folks,

I ran my computer up, running xphome and jaws 5.1, but instead of behaving
normally it went to the activation screen as though it were a new load of
jaws.

I haven't dared tell it to activate as I don't think I have any
authorisations left. Is it possible to do anything, other than rob a bank
and buy another copy.
Presumably they know who I am and that I have paid, or they wouldn't know to
stop authorising for ever and ever.

Can anyone tell me any practical experiences of the freedombox or key. I
seem to remember it sounded good and was much much cheaper if I have to buy
something.

In hope, and you can all imagine the frustration.

Ed

Subject: [vicsireland] Some issues regarding the 'Talks' and 'Zooms'
software

Dear all,

A couple of updates for you regarding Talks and Zooms for series 60 and
series 80 phones.

1. On July 17th, Nuance, formally known as scansoft, plan to release
version 3.0 of Talks and Zooms, (screen reading and screen magnification
programs respectively).

Anyone who purchased either Talks or Zooms from NCBI since may of 2005 is
entitled to upgrade free of charge to version 3.0.

Those people who purchased talks directly from Vodafone, should contact me
to see if you are eligible for the upgrade or not.

2. Similar to version 2.0 and 2.5, Talks will be distributed in two
flavours, standard and Premium.

NCBI sells the premium version only and Vodafone sell the Standard version.

The 'bonus applications', which formally made up the premium version of
talks have been withdrawn by Nuance and will no longer be available from
July 17th.

I will, later this week, post details of the new versions and the difference
between the standard and premium versions.

3. From July 17th, NCBI will no longer be able to offer Talks at the
specially reduced price of €50.00. We allowed this subsidised price to
continue for quite a long period, to facilitate as many users as possible to
obtain an accessible mobile device at a price that, while it was not cheap,
was at least more affordable.

Now that Vodafone provide this software effectively free on their handsets,
we cannot continue our issuing of the product at this subsidised price.

Note therefore that new versions of Talks 3.0 purchased on or after July
17th will be charged at €199.00.

I will email pricing for Zooms magnification software shortly.

If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards,

Stuart.
