I just tried this and it worked for me so give this a go.
Open up a blank spreadsheet. Then go into your Word table and put your
cursor into one of the cells. Press Control A to select the whole
table. Then press control C to copy it. Go into your blank spreadsheet
and paste it in. It should paste in OK. You might need to do an
autofit in the columns to tidy it up a bit but the information should
all be there.
To do an autofit select all the data by doing the control a keystroke
again. Go to the format menu with alt o and then arrow down to columns.
Choose autofit from the drop down menu. If you need any more help in
tidying it up for printing or lining up the numbers etc let me know.

massive!
It's ironic really... I've been given an 83 page functional spec, and
all I
need is this one table. Someone actually went to the bother of pulling
the
contents of a table from the Mainframe and converting it in to MSWord as
part of the spec. Now I want to take it back out of Word and make it in
to
flat text... which is the format it would've come from the Mainframe in
originally.
Am I rambling? Yes. The Sun is having some weird effects on me. It's
making me want to drink beer on Wednesdays, and forget work.
Can anyone help me?
