Hi Ed, If you mean is it the same for MS Outlook, then no, its slightly different. To save the outlook folder and usually with it the contacts list you may have built up you need to copy which is usually called "outlook.pst". You can simply go into where Microsoft outlook places this folder and copy it out to wherever you wish for backup purposes. Here are the instructions: 1. Open up the start menu and go to run. 2. Type in the following exactly: C:\documents and settings\user name\local settings\application data\Microsoft\outlook And then press the enter key. Note that where I have placed user name this could be something different such as your user name which might be: eharper or in my case it is ptraynor. Now when you pressed enter key you are in the location of where outlook places its "pst file". It will be called as I have mentioned earlier "outlook.pst" so just copy and paste this file to any place you like. When you wish to use it again you need to invoke the correct importing procedures to accomplish success with it. I will write up those later if you like. Regards, Paul. -----Original Message----- From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ed Harper Sent: 17 January 2007 16:13 To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vicsireland] Re: Moving folder from OE to My documents Hi Paul, is it the same for outlook and what is the folder called in that case? Please just remember that what you copied today of course will sound like jibberish as they aren't folders in the sense you would know and understand. Please don't do anything to them like saving them under other names etc that would cause them to become corrupt as this would make them unusuable in the future. Paul. -----Original Message----- >From: vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vicsireland-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of maureen newell Sent: 17 January 2007 13:43 To: vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vicsireland] Re: Moving folder from OE to My documents Thanks Paul, that's the job. If in the event of me getting a new computer can I import folders back to outlook express as I note they are now reading "gibberish" to me. ----- Original Message ----- >From: "Lists" <lists@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <vicsireland@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, January 17, 2007 12:49 PM Subject: [vicsireland] Re: Moving folder from OE to My documents > Hi Maureen, > > Yes, it is possible but the folders you will move from outlook express > aren't like your standard folders.
