Dear All,
The February edition of our monthly technology podcast is now available from
our website ( http://www.ncbi.ie/technologypodcast),
our RSS feed (

or to download directly at

This month we meet Sky Mundell, a totally blind gentleman living and working in
British Columbia. Sky is involved in an interesting project to increase
awareness of the window-Eyes screen reader and tells us about it. He also
explains the differences between the free Window-Eyes for Office offering and
the fully paid version of the screen reader.
We bring you information about an Assistive Technology evening hosted by
University College Cork on February 10th and some exciting news from the
Newbridge computer Club about a new set of meetings to assist those with
iPhones or other touch screen devices.
Sharon Lyons is back to start a series of shortcut sessions all about the
internet.
Finally, Stuart meets Deirdre Hughes and Alaidh Fox, two students from
Claregalway College, who participated in this year's Young Scientist
exhibition, and won a number of prizes!
Regards,
Stuart
