Hi everyone, and happy new year! Firstly, apologies if you see this message on more than one email list to which you may be subscribed. As probably most of you reading this will know, we have been producing our technology podcast here at NCBI since June of last year. Whilst there are many assistive tech podcasts out there, we hope that ours is different because it has a focus on assistive tech from an Irish perspective, whilst at the same time including information from further afield. As we enter a new year there is much being planned for our monthly technology podcast. One thing that we want to do is to broaden the voices heard on each of our programmes, and to that end we are looking for contributors, or correspondents, who might be willing to get involved in our productions. If you have a piece of technology that you think would be of benefit to other blind/low vision people, or if you are interested in showing others how to use technology, then I'd love to hear from you. Similarly, if you would be interested in interviewing people about technology, then your contributions would also be most welcome. So, in short, if you think you can assist us, you enjoy producing audio, you’re a tech enthusiast and you'd like to put your mark on our technology podcast, please get in touch with me, either by email or by phone on 087 9926360.
